Here are some of the basics for upcoming events.  More details will be available soon.

Pre-Area Audition (Nov. 18 – North Crowley HS)

• School confirmation forms with the fees listed will be coming to you soon.
• Students should be preparing all 3 movements from the Mozart Coronation Mass and “Nunc Dimittis”.
• I will get back with you about starting times later.  We usually start registration around 3:30 or 4:00.
• There will be four singing panels (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).
• Sight-reading will be in a separate room after singing.  Sopranos and tenors will go to one room, altos and basses will go to another.  The tonic chord will be played in octaves so the same audio can be used for both parts.
• All-Region chairs 1-12 are candidates for this audition.  Chairs 13 & 14 are alternates.  If your district is out of school the entire week of Thanksgiving, then your students will be eligible for the audition regardless of their academic grades.
• Let me know right away if you have any students who will not be auditioning.

Clinic & Concert (Nov. 19 – Weatherford HS)

• DISTRICT CHOIR will perform
  • Your Voices Tune – Handel
  • Ballade to the Moon – Elder
  • Muie Rendera – Fonesca
  • Rejoice – Ames
  • Reginal Wright, clinician
  • **Please help your students learn the new songs before the clinic!!
• REGION CHOIR will perform
  • Zigeunerleben – Schumann
  • Set Down Servant – Shaw
  • Nunc Dimittis – Holst
  • Coronation Mass – Mozart
  • Dr. Dennis Shrock, clinician
• COMBINED MEN/WOMEN will perform
  • Minnesänger (TTBB) – Schumann
  • How Can I Keep from Singing (SSAA) – Walker
• There are no alternates for either choir.
• Soloists will be appointed by chair.  Further information to come.
• Performers will wear their choir uniforms.  Formal length dresses and tuxedos/suits.
